![]() ![]() I was able to installed the lexmark 35 driver but that only made my X1150 pass a paper (as if it were GAS! NO PRINTING). I have been trying to install the 600z driver for about 3 month (the time I have been using Ubuntu). I have a Lexmark X1150 :( and I followed instructions steps by Black Hole Sun to a T to no avail. * Restarting Common Unix Printing System: cupsd Restart the cups daemon./usr/lib/cups/backend/z600 Gunzip: : No such file or sudo /etc/init.d/cupsys restart # The driver is now installed. Sudo /etc/init.d/cupsys restart # The driver is now installed. Sudo gunzip # unzip the ppd, which should _not_ be gzipped Sudo ldconfig # refresh ubuntu to see the new libraries ![]() Sudo alien -to-deb *.rpm # convert unusable rpm packages to deb. ![]() Tar -xvzf # extract the contents produced by tail Tail -n +143 .sh > # the sh script is broken for newer systems. Went to terminal, ran the following command: dev/hdd /media/cdrom0 udf,iso9660 user,noauto 0 0 Usbfs /proc/bus/usb usbfs devgid=14,devmode=0660 0 0 dev/hdc1 /media/windows ntfs nls=utf8,umask=0222 0 0 dev/hda1 / ext3 defaults,errors=remount-ro 0 1 # /etc/fstab: static file system information. I also tried installing it through the system administration and it seemed like everything was in place but when I went to print it never came out even though it said it had been sent to the printer. I am using Dapper and have downloaded onto my desktop.
